The CALPIA Laundry program is a program designed to meet California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) institutional statewide needs.
The Laundry program will train incarcerated individuals with the necessary knowledge and skill level needed to meet the highest possible standards for laundry.
In return CALPIA provides training for a skilled workforce in the private sector upon release, reducing the potential for recidivism.
The PIA is looking to fill a Prison Industries Superintendent II (Laundry) position at Valley State Prison.
The Prison Industries Superintendent II is responsible for the overall operation of Prison Industry Authority (PIA) Laundry that services the Central California Women's Facility (CCWF), Valley State Prison (VSP), Salinas Valley State Prison (SVSP) and a number of State hospitals.
